Our Design Process
How Minibricks® Sets Come to Life

We Design What You Ask For
At Minibricks®, most of our models are born in our Instagram comments. Seriously. We read them all—every "please make a GTI", every "do the car I drive", and even the "I know you won't but... make a Fiat Panda".
And we love that.
Because sure, we enjoy designing hypercars. But what really drives us is seeing someone build their actual car in bricks. A blue E46 with silver wheels. A TDI wagon their dad drove. Cars that matter not because of horsepower, but because of memories.
The Making of a Minibricks® Set

From Sketches to Software
Every model starts with a real story.
We choose a car (usually after 800 DMs and 158 internal votes), then start sketching. We take reference photos, collect real specs, and define the personality of the build.
From there, we jump into our own custom design software—built by and for the Minibricks® team—to shape the structure, proportions and angles, brick by brick.

Testing = Chaos + Coffee
Things don't always go smoothly… and that's part of the fun.
One time we spent 4 days building a prototype of a red hatchback… only to realize the roof was one stud too wide and the doors wouldn’t close. The designer almost cried.
We all laughed (after fixing it).
Every model goes through multiple tests—structure, stability, parts availability, looks. Some get redesigned 6 or 7 times before they're perfect. It's part of the obsession.

Final Touch: Box, Manual and Hype
Once the model is designed and perfect, it's ready for the final steps. We print the instructions, prepare the packaging, and make sure everything fits just right.
Each set is packed in our signature Minibricks® box, carefully protected and ready to ship anywhere in the world.
Inside, you'll find the model, our custom step-by-step guide, and sometimes—if the stars align—a little extra surprise from the team.

You Can Design Too
Do you dream in bricks? Do you look at your car and instantly imagine how it would look built piece by piece?
If so… you might just have what it takes to design for Minibricks®.
We use our own internal software to create our sets, but if you want to try, we recommend starting with BrickLink Studio—it's free, powerful, and super fun to learn.
Once you've got your design ready, upload it through our form... and who knows, maybe we’ll publish it for the whole Minibricks® community to build.
